Fallout 3 or Fallout: New Vegas?

I have only games until the third generation, after that I kinda lost interest as the new ones were a tad too much.

So I replayed the games.
I still stick with my previous claim of 3 being my favorite.
However, I have grown a liking to New Vegas and have officially completed Yes Man's, Caesar's, and the NCR's storylines.

Yeah I feel the same way still as well. New Vegas has its own certain appeal and FO3 has its own too, but I still prefer FO3. I am trying to get into the original Fallout games on the PC but they confuse me so much.

I thought about it, but my computer is such a dinosaur that it'd probably be useless at least until my boyfriend gets his laptop or updates my software.

Yeah mine is pretty old too, I can only run older games because my PC can't handle next gen graphics at all.

They are both amazing games, but New Vegas is far buggier than Fallout 3. Playing it can be straight up frustating at times. HAving said that, the ending of New Vegas is a lot better than the ending of Fallout 3. Fallout 3 has one thing that puts it on top for me, though, and that was the initial wow factor of the first time you set foot in the wasteland. NEw Vegas did not have that. I mean...you START in the wasteland

Well not only that but you start off in a shitty little town lol, I also liked the Capital Wasteland much more than one in New Vegas. I always thought the endings in New Vegas were not that great to be honest.

What I appreciate about the ending of New Vegas is the fact that it sumarizes everything you did. It leaves no stone unturned. If you did somethin to try to help out a group in the game, it tells you what happened to them. Considering how many groups there are in that game, that is a pretty massive undertaking to have multile possible endings for every single one of them. That level of attention to detail is just unheard of in games today, and it was cool as shit to see.,

If you put it that way then I can understand that, I think we can both agree the ending to FO3 wasn't too good. lol

And they set up the last guy you fight like a final boss...then you kill him in one shot. ONE FUCKING SHOT! He is not a boss. HE does not wear power armor. He is just a regular enemy. There are tougher regular enemies in that game than him By far *cough*deathclaw*cough*

I actually think Deathclaws are pretty easy to kill if you have good guns. And yeah the "final boss" is such a joke.

IF you are beefed up enough, the deathclaw is no where near as scary, bu the last guy will never pose a threat. IT is an absolute joke,. I wanted a climactic fight. I wanted something like when you duel with the giant mutants. Those were good fights

In a way they're kind of the same, because the NCR general dude confronts you every time.

This was definitely one of my favorite aspects of the game. The first time I saw it, I thought it was like one of the coolest things.


I fucking hate Deathclaws. Especially in New Vegas at Quarry Junction. I don't know how many times I died there. It was like they were coming out of nowhere. Finally I went and got an Anti-Material rifle and some armor piercing ammo and killed them off, but dammit I wasn't happy.

In all honesty, New Vegas actually had a final boss. Legate Lanius was a fairly tough battle. He did not go down easy. He actually was a boss.

I got frustrated with it freezing and slowing to a crawl, too. I still played it for 90 hours, so it was doing something right.

Did the original Fallouts do that? I own them, but I have not beaten them. I got a good chunk of the way into the first Fallout, and then my system crashed. I lost everything. Grr.

I found a spot in the Quarry where they cold not get to me and just kept shooting. IT took several hours to kill them all, even then.

This fight varied for me. The first time took me forever, the second I talked him into leaving. He's easier to take down if you take Boone with you.

I do not remember what character I had with me at that point. I am pretty sure it was not Boone

I don't suggest Veronica. She's only good at close hand combat so she dies easily. However, Cass might be ok. I never tried her tho.

She sure can. As long as you don't have anyone else with you. Of course Rex and Ed-E don't count there. They can stay with you no matter what.

I think he's the one companion I haven't had yet.

The weapon he uses is a revolver which does quite a lot of damage and he is such a sweet heart of a ghoul. lol
