| Halloween is coming and I'm in a mood for some horror movies! I love the Friday the 13th series all the way from the first part to Jason X to FvJ. Too bad the latter didn't get a movie sequel (the sequel came as a comic and it's awesome). I also like the other two most recognizable horror characters Freddy and Michael (I basically grew up watching Halloween) but I just find something so appealing in the sheer crazyness of Jason's deadite ways.
So who and why, that's the question. |

| Mass...did you fail? I see two of the same topics lol. Anyway, I was going between Jason and Michael. I picked Michael because he is more well known, is cooler, and has the best theme song ever. |

| Damn my crappy connection! When I first tried to post this it said that there was an error and the thing wasn't posted and when I tried to look it wasn't there so I made a new one. Looks like it somehow came back to haunt me. Well, I deleted it so it shouldn't be a problem anymore. |

| Just saw the remake of Halloween. Damn that was a good movie. It was actually better than the remake of Friday the 13th.
How did you like TCM2, Regen? I'm thinking about watching it soon. |

| All of the options on the poll are very popular examples of horror characters. However, I seldom like every film in a series. Most of the Elm Street films beyond the original were quite bad, although I had a bit of a soft spot for the character Alice in 4 and 5. The Halloween films again started off great, but went down hill. Never seen the point in bringing Chucky back after Child's Play 2 let alone 3.
Saw was one of my fave films from the 2000s. Enjoyed every sequel, though not so much Saw 3D because the film wasn't really about Jigsaw but Hoffman.
Hellraiser I-III are amongst my top movies, horror-wise. But after that, they were just not as good. Although Hellraiser: Inferno actually reminds me of being in Silent Hill for some reason.

| I said Jigsaw because he would not just chase you around with a weapon and try to kill you but he would mindfuck you and let you kill your self. |

| Yeah. I mean, how many other horror "villains" just lay not moving on a bathroom floor for a day while the two intended victims are involved in his game? At least Saw tried to do things different, as opposed to the usual stalk n' slash crap that cluttered video shelves for years. While I didn't think the sequels to Saw were as great as the original, they at least were good popcorn flicks and you came back to see the next one each year since! |

| Just saying here, but the poll should also have Mrs. Voorhees on it, seeing as she was the original F13 killer and Jason only showed up in the sequels. - Mass Distraction wrote:

Touché. Indeed. Don't get me wrong, I love the onscreen characters like Jason Voorhees and Leatherface, but in my eyes, the true horror icons are the people that created them. |

She never did become an "icon", though, as she was killed in the only movie she was the antagonist in. Yeah, I could've named this poll better Maybe "the favorite horror character" or something. |

Jason has been "killed" in virtually every movie he's ever been in, too. |

Jason has been "killed" in virtually every movie he's ever been in, too. That's true too but his mother never came back from the dead. |
