Believe it or not, HUDs are usually pretty important.

But they were still in the pause/menu screen. Something you don't have in 5. Besides, in this newer action style you lose more health and get attacked more so it's important to keep track of your health.

It's just for fun, no need to argue
However, unlike ordinary mods, you can turn on/off HUD anytime with my trainer by just pressing "H".
