Will Resident Evil ever be the same again?

Does anyone know if Resident Evil 6 will have the old gameplay that resident evil 1,2 and 3 have?
I liked the slow paced gameplay, with the camera angle mounted on each wall and the lovely traditional
interface.. the save rooms, ink ribbons, puzzles & doors (don't forget zombies!!!)

Resident Evil Veronica slightly changed, but i thought it was still fine.

Res 4 and 5 changed completely, its not the same anymore and I'm worried that i might never be able to play a new
Resident Evil with the old traditional experience we all grew up playing with.

Any info or hint will be appreciated, thanks

Well i thought "wallcams" where great, it makes it feel more scary

The new 3rd person view behind the back gives you less tension because you always see
what is in front of you, it makes it feel like a cheesy action game..


Resident Evil has its own style, i don't know why they had to copy other games..

I think people like Resident Evil for what it is.. changing the game completely is destroying the game itself,
I'd rather be playing Gears Of War instead, seems as if they're very similar in terms of gameplay, and the whole idea of taking cover behind walls.

Now it's all about how many Majinis you kill.
Bring back survival horror!

Well, Capcom is a business. Businesses are about one thing: Profit Maximization. RE 4 and 5 sold infinitely better than the old style ones and therefore, they win out. As much as some of us may not like, it is here to stay.

I guess for me it's hard to adjust to these new changes, i kinda understand now there's a big market out there for action games but removing the zombies defeats the purpose of resident evil.

Yes they Have to update just like any other game I was like In the same mind set but If you think about it its better graphics look nice the only think I hate about RE4 and RE5 where are my ZOMBIES

as much as i agree they should brin zombies back i refer you to my previous statement. CABBAGES!

No wallcams, more zombies, better/harder boss fights that can't be killed with a rocket launcher/maxed out weapon in two shots.

And, of course, MORE HORROR.

Im actually worried about that too the new games arent bad but i want the old R.E style to comeback again... i hope they answer are requests

You shouldnt worry about that too much. There is still plenty of survival horror game series out there.
Like Silent Hill (my all time favorite), Project zero, Obscure (gameplay is like in resident evil outbreaks) and forbitten siren.
They dont have zombies in those but the atmosphere is there.
I know it's not exactlty the same thing, but.. still..

I would think that RE6 will probably not go back to the old style...gamers in this age demand run and gun games mostly and not edge of your seat survival horror games that I miss so much
