Best Resident Evil Gameplay?

Resident Evil 0-3 + CV is a classic gameplay however im not wowed about it, and it can be somewhat difficult
Resident Evil Survivor + Dead Aim I didnt exactly enjoy it
Resident Evil 4 Was The First Big Improvement I loved the Case System and the new (Better) partner system and indeed was wowed over it.Hated The Partner **Cough Ashley**
Resident Evil 5 Was another installment/Update off Resident Evil 4 However i dislike the Certain amount of items you Can hold.
Resident Evil Chronicles Was a large improvement I dislike not able to move around, however i enjoyed the rail shooter system and being able to play Some of the resident evil Series such as Resident evil 0,1 and so on plus the side missions were quite interesting explaining more about the characters
I'd have to vote for Resident Evil Chronicles.

I'd say RE5 because of the coop gameplay. However, the classic system made the games that much more eerie. As for picking the chronicles, you seem to like the story rather than the gameplay. Not being able to move around is a gameplay issue. Maybe you misinterpreted your own question?

for me I prefer the original style the best...although the RE4 style come in at a close second

all they have to do is bring the gameplay of RE5 with the great atmosphere of the original and hot damn who can imagine how great a game that will turn out to be

Definitely. They just can't seem to get the old atmosphere back. They promised it would return in RE5 but nope. The originals were just so creepy.

Yeah, i gotta say the same, coop in RE 5 is fun and all but Sheva ruins it most of time for being dumb

For older series... RE 2 does the best job

I wonder if any besides me enjoyed The Chronicle Series the Best, I found it a better gameplay despite not being able to move around .

Well, I picked RE5 but still xD

CVX, and all the games with the "classic" controls, as I hear it being said, win for the sheer creepiness it offered. Not having a "normal" view of what's going on adds so much more. 4 and 5 changed it from a horror game to an action game, in my opinion (see: the RE5 shooting game in the truck with the bikers).

i still prefer the classics resi 1,2,3 and cv, like nite said they had the eerie feeling, 4 and 5 are good but to action based for my liking, id love it if they used some of the fear from condemned in the next one, now that was a creepy game,especially the mannequin part.....

yes condemned is awesome too, not a lot beats the atmosphere of that game. RE and condemned are my go to series for atmosphere

I'm gonna come out and say I'm a bit of a fan-boy and prefer the original games, but i guess the funnest game play is re4-5. I know this wasnt the question but i love the stories from the 0-CD games.

the old gameplay... personally RE1 and REmake are the best ones, not only in gameplay but in story too (specially in story)

I picked the RE0-RE:CV era of games as far as gameplay goes too. I feel that REmake and RE2 had the perfect balance of fun gameplay and excellent storylines.
