yh i like soad, like most stuff with guitars in basically, fave bands must be metallica,ac/dc,muse, iron maiden

Meat-Loaf created(or at least re-invented) operatic rock. No one else comes even remotely close.

This reminds me..

I was buying tickets for rammsteins concert in finland couple weeks ago and i was on my computer. It was my first time i ever tried to get tickets anywhere. I was in line for a long time but i came early so i wouldnt miss them. Everything went well and i managed to get two field tickets which was great until i got to the buy section..
Somehow the lag of that site made my computer so slow i lost the tickets because there was only 10 minutes time to make the booking.
The whole thing was sold out in 6 minutes and i was left without tickets.
At that time i thought i should seriously reconsider my music taste...

I love Janis Joplin. Like, LOVE her. So, for a band, I guess you could say Big Brother and the Holding Company, which she was associated with, but honestly? Joplin's a whole orchestral movement all on her own.

I like Metric too, for some pop flavour. They're pretty cool without being hugely popular.

Tegan and Sara. Good ol' folk rock, and twins no less!

Mika. Not really a band so much as a single dude. But what a dude. Also pop, but happy! pop.

Pelican. Good, solid, heavy, instrumental metal music. No garbled, inaudible lyrics, just some kickass musicianry.



Those are the ones that stand out to me at the moment, and the ones that come up the most often on my shuffle.
