The Barry Burton Tribute!!

another one (what a cool craze that's happened to this forums) so it's Barry's time to shine, and how can I not say Barry without sandwich, he saved Jill so many times and he should return to save her once again.

Barry Burton is a classic character. I think that he was average, or below that in the original, and his RE3 cameo was cool, but it wasn't until the REmake that he actually became really cool in my book.

His appearances seemed to be perfected along with a perfect voice. I really don't have any complaints about him specifically, just that he has been underused, and I hope he will make a return at some point, or that something will be said for him....

good ol' Barry the bearded man lol...he was the best in RE1...him and his Magnum are the perfect match for headshots

Gotta love Barry, there for Jill right when she needed him...always seemed to pop up at the exact right moments too. His magnum was awesome and his lines were pure classic. He has been highly under used but for some reason Barry always kinda gave me the creeps...i couldn't trust him fully.....maybe he has some dark past we don't know anything about lol...after all he has pretty much vanished off radar.....i wonder what ole Barry is upto now.

Yeah, Barry was the Josh Stone of RE1. I mean he was talking to himself, lying about where he would be investigating, he truly was a very mysterious guy, and I sure do hope we get to see him again...I was actually under the impression that he would be in RE5. Like 3 years ago someone told me that it would be Chris, Jill, Barry & Rebecca...but anyway that is obviously not how it happened.

Maybe he'll pop up in the next one as a villain....that after all those years we find out he cheated us all and made us all believe in him and this time it will be Jill facing off against an old friend lol.....well you never know.

That is an interesting theory, although I don't know how great Barry will look in the Battle Suit.

That is funny that you mention that "enemies close but your friends even closer" line, as I was just listening to Kain say that yesterday.

I'm gonna be the first to place bets on Barry being a villain...it's always the person you least expect...there's another one lol.

Ah god old Kain....love the Legacy series...especialy Soul Reaver.
He speaks good sense there....there be something about Barry that isn't quite right...hasn't been from the start.

I think Chris said it best in REmake, "you've become senile".

Yes Kain is terrific, and his voice actor Simon Templeman is really something, while I don't want to give too much love to the LoK series here on an RE thread, I think that the LoK series does alot better with the continuity in voice actors and the quality of the voices in the games, even the earlier ones, even when Blood Omen came out 1996 just like RE1.

Barry Burton what can I say? Horribly underused character, lets hope the good people at capcom come to thier senses and bring him back in Resident Evil 6 or a few spin offs. If they don't bring him back then I will eat my laptop.
