| Im ashamed to admit but I've forgotten so many things about former Resident Evil(s). I've been checking internet for ie books I could read to memorize and learn more about what happened in the past; major events as well as small details.
I found serie of novels written by S.D. Perry and some references to something called Resident Evil Archives, but according to wikipedia fans haven't been happy how the latter one was made.
"While one of the few video game-based reference guides that was translated into English, the translation was criticized by fans for inconsistencies with the original Japanese version, as well as inconsistencies in the official translations provided by the games themselves"
I want "real" information about events, hopefully in chronological order, not just some "added stories". Ofc there are plenty of sites on internet giving you info, but that's usually (?) split - like for example how wikipedia is built - and hard (BORING!) to read throughoutly.
Anyone out there who found something like this and could give me some info ? Thanks in advance ! |

| The series made by S.D. Perry is a good start. I know that those are rather hard to find in Finland so you might have to use eBay. I managed to get 0, 1 and 2 when they were still available. Her books cover the games from Zer0 to Code: Veronica but also throw in a couple of original stories. She also added some stuff not in the games so while her books follow the actual storyline, they are a different canon. I got my info on Zer0 from the book but never had the cance to play the game so in that way they are good. Archives I & II are also good choices. Archives I is ridiculously rare though, so it you want to buy one (eBay is your choice) prepare to pay up. Archives II is still available here, through Booky.fi. Here, have a straight link to the product: [link]. That's how I got mine. Perry's books can also be found on the site but they are only in German or Italian :/ For a full timeline/chronology of the games in the series, check out this thread I made: [link]. It's as comprehensive as it gets. Btw. Olishan tuon voinut suomeksikin kirjoittaa mutta kukaan muu ei ymmärtäisi |

| Thank you Mass ! I sent message to one of Archives vol 1 sellers on ebay, and hopefully I'll receive an answer within few days. Prices are high but the item seems to be extremely rare anyway. Only problem seems to be that almost no seller provides international shipping, if that means no shipping to Finland.. ? :[
Have to wait couple of days to confirm my Paypal now and keep my eyes on ebay if something new pops up !
PS. Juu, pysytään englannissa jos joku muukin sattuis ottaan osaa keskusteluun =D |

| No problem.
eBay UK at least ships to Finland so you could try that one? Not sure if they have any Archives vol.1s available, though. |

| Ok so, I received an answer from seller faster than I expected. We've been discussing about the deal through mails on eBay and he agreed to ship it to Finland as long as I pay the extra 12 USD; the regular fee for shipping to scandinavia. He has around 300 positive feedbacks from other eBay users - none negative - so I assume it's not a scam or anything. The current bid on his auction is 96 USD and auction will be open for next 4 days. Now I just need to confirm my credit card with paypal so I can start bidding.. Let's see how this will turn out ! I'll get expensive book or expensive lesson ! And yes, it's still Fin vs Swe in everything and anything |

| Any PayPal users here ? It's been over 4 days since I ordered code to confirm my credit card and I still haven't received it. I see 1.50€ reserved from my funds but no markings in transaction history.
Did anyone else have to wait this long ? Auction is closing in 2 days so I don't have time to order new code. Getting a bit desperate ! |

Nice, I heard it from Conan, and Mass confirmed this. BTW, if you wanna add something to your post you can "edit" it instead of double-posting. |

BTW, if you wanna add something to your post you can "edit" it instead of double-posting. We freed ourselves from Swe's dominion somewhere 1808-1809. I guess roots of our rivalry comes from there. And sorry, didn't know "edit" still works after 3-4 days of posting |

| I understand how you feel.. I have all the resident evil Strategy Guides because I always loved the extra facts they'd put in and descriptions of the monsters.. You can get them on Ebay, no? |

Yeah, I bet you can get pretty much anything from ebay but the problem is shipping to Finland. Not so many sellers are up to do that because of "expensive" fee (12 USD), which is nothing for collectors/fans who just wants something specific. Auction I was talking about earlier is closed and winning bid was 197.50 USD. God damn I hate PayPal already, still haven't received my confirmation code.. |
