I have:
Resident Evil 0 (Wii 'Archives' version), the REmake (Wii 'Archives' version), Resident Evil 2 (for the Gamecube and for the N64), Resident Evil 3 (Gamecube), Resident Evil 4 (Wii), Umbrella and Darkside Chronicles, and Resident Evil 5 (PC).
Mass Destruction, I know what you mean. One guy at the local Play and Trade said that it shows up maybe once or twice a month, but they'll go several months without getting a copy of it. It's even more of a pain when you're looking for the Gamecube version than the other two.

You misspelled it. Anyway, I'm thinking that maybe I'll get Survivor 2: Code Veronica next. The actual game can wait. If I ever have the money for it I'll get it for the Dreamcast, since then I would have a main series RE for every platform I own Well, except for the Amiga or NES.

Yes. It is. It actually gets better every chapter, Outbreak File#2 being a worthy purchase. It also cuts the loading times, plus you get some stuff with a finished File#1 save. The Outbreaks add nicely to the storyline, have interesting characters and good replay value since every character has their own storyline dialogue. I happen to like the cameos in the games.
Also, if you don't like having a team you can play the game on Lone Wolf mode.

Is the lone wolf option available right away or is a completion of the game needed?

I think you have to beat the game on Very Hard or something like that. Never did it though, I haven't had any trouble with AI (and most of the time I just ignore them).

Ah well looks like the ai will be staying then,at least for the first few playthroughs.I could do with finishing remake before I get stuck into that though really

To be honest, I never played the ACTUAL original RE1. I probably should buy it from my local business gamestore, cause it's there.

You totally should. For me at least it was really worth it. I'd play REmake if I had a GameCube

The only reason for me to play the original now is for the charmingly bright old graphics, the hilarious voice acting, the slightly different puzzles, and for the well done live action opening. REmake is pretty much the same game, but with some changes.

RE1 is a classic that should be played by all fans. And the voice acting is a great reason to do so.

Ever see Resident Hazard? Really funny stuff. I just love everything Barry says in that game.

RE 0,REmake, 2(N64), 3(GC), 4(GC), Code Veronica(GC), RE Directors cut, Umbrella Chronicles, Darkside Chronicles, Outbreak File 2.
I used to have all the original ones for the PS, PS2 buuut My PS2 broke and I was too much of a lazy ass to replace it. I sold my games and out of nowhere my cousin finds all his old GC games and somehow the whole RE collection was there. I decided not to sell my Directors cut cause it was my dad's.

The Saturn version was the first one I played. I rented it and stayed up all night with a friend playing it when it was first released. My parents got me it for Christmas that year, but at some point I must have sold it and then picked up another one because the copy I have now has no instructions and someone's scribbled a letter on the cd with black marker. From what I can remember the backgrounds were slightly better but the character models were bad. Very bad.

The Battle Game is what I'm interested in the most and I've heard the backgrounds are better. Isn't it also supposed to be gorier than the original?

It was supposed to have the uncensored movies but this never went ahead. There is however a different variation on the Hunters included and once you've "killed" the Tyrant for the first time another one pops up immediately afterwards. I never really bothered with the battle game, I prefer the main games. I'm pretty sure at some point I killed zombie Wesker though
Strangely I have the uncut opening movie on a pal Sega Saturn demo disk so I don't know why it was cut if it was released uncensored prior to the game being released at retail.

That sounds like what happened with Silent Hill. The demo had the grey children as enemies but in the actual game they were replaced with mumblers.
