what i really liked about the movie was the camera angles they used...practically the same kind as in the games...i expect the second movie to be more of the same

thats a good question barber...i guess they wanted all the main roles to be females...there was hardly any male actors in the movie

Wasnt it a man in the original silent hill game so it would have made sense to have bean as the main man. They probably took the same route as RE and made the movies different to the games.

They definitely made the movie different. But, to be perfectly fair, the Silent Hill movie is the number one best video game based movie to date. No doubt. And look how much more closely they followed the story than any other game based movie? Only proves my point that the closer you stick to the game, the better the movie will be. Also, If you consider RE:Degeneration a video game based movie...then it's the best.

I actually consider Degeneration just to be a game turned into one long cutscene movie lol.But not an actual movie.

The same propably goes with 4D-Executer.
On the SH movie, it was awesome. I liked it how they followed closely to the plot of the game but at the same time made it a bit different. That should've been the case with the RE movies :/ I'm eagerly waiting for the second one. I wonder if they will now use the plot of SH2 or just continue from where the first movie left?
@Nite: I agree, it is propably the best video game based movie to date. I liked Hitman-movie a lot, though. Especially the part where the kids were playing the game

I didnt watch the whole movie, some parts I saw over the net just looked stupid enough to not watch the movie
you should watch it when you have the time...it does have many references from the games

I started playing Silent Hill again and remembered one of the best things in the series: that the enemies always symbolize the character's fears, dreams etc. and that they look different when encountered by people with different minds. It's weird what the darkest corners of our minds can create...
On a side note: I'm really creeped out by the spider shibito in Siren.

Very creative indeed. And disturbed. I'm currently in chapter 5 in Siren, just got out of the hospital as Melissa.
